This work belongs to a larger international project funded by the European Commission through its Joule Programme. The partners participating in the project are Chalmers University of Technology, Joanneum mbH, Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule ETH, Technische Universität Wien, and Åbo Akademi University. The aim of ÅAU is to suggest a simplified mechanism describing NOx formation from ammonia oxidation at conditions typical for wood chip grate combustion.Different available simplified mechanisms are compared to predictions by a comprehensive detailed elementary reaction scheme at ideal reactor conditions.
